We’re talking about viewing our bodies through the lens of grace. In this episode,

  • I’ll share my body’s story
  • What trips us up from treating our bodies with grace
  • And what God says is true.

Six mindsets we hold about our bodies:

  1. Our bodies are machines designed to produce without getting sick, having feelings about anything, or needing rest.
  2. We conflate our bodies with sin.
  3. Our bodies are to be fixed.
  4. Our bodies aren’t a safe place.
  5. Our bodies are solely defined by how we look or from what disease we suffer.
  6. Our bodies are that it is less important than our minds, emotions, will, and intellect.

What God says is true about our bodies

Friends, Jesus values the body. Jesus values your body.

  • Christ came to us as an unborn baby held, formed, and kept safe by the body of a woman.
  • Jesus came to earth as a human with a physical body.
  • We remember they are temples.
  • Jesus’s desire is for us to care for our bodies and love them.
